Proper food combining for optimal digestion

This is recommended for anyone experiencing digestion problems.  I do this when attending a celebration where eating is the main event to avoid the overstuffed feeling

Food Groupings

 Vegetables         leafy greens, onions, carrots
 Melons              watermelon, honeydew
Protein               meat, beans, seeds, dairy, eggs, coconut
Starches             root vegetables, grains, potato, squash, pumpkin
Sweet fruits       prunes, figs, dates, raisins, bananas, dried fruits
Sub acid fruits   apples, pears, peaches, grapes, plums, cherries
Acid fruits         pineapple, citrus, tomato, berries, kiwi

Avoid eating carbohydrates with acid fruits. (tomato and bread, strawberry jam and toast)

Avoid eating concentrated proteins with concentrated carbohydrates. ( meat with potato or pasta)

Do not consume two concentrated proteins at the same meal. (surf and turf)

Do not consume fats with proteins (fried food) Use fat sparingly

Do not eat acid fruit with protein (ham and pineapple, cottage cheese and pineapple)

Do not combine sweet fruit with proteins, starches, or acid fruits (trail mix, strawberries and bananas)

Eat only one concentrated protein at a meal

Acid fruits may be used with sub acid fruits Sub acid fruits may be used with sweet fruits.
